Shouldn’t you keep your right elbow close to your body in the back swing?

True your right elbow should be close to your body, but in the downswing. Because of the simultaneous turning and tilting of the shoulders the right elbow moves away from your torso, which gives it room to move in on the downswing. Think of a throwing motion.

Zach, found your site recently and like your tips and comments, have tried to log into your tips of the day and my email gets rejected. What can we do about this?
